Why I do this work

I moved here because I believe where you live changes everything.

I grew up in Battle Creek (Go Beavers!), studied Sociology and Business at Michigan State, and spent 25 years in Atlanta building a real estate practice rooted in showing up the way I'd want a friend to show up for me.

We spent three years touring cities and houses trying to find the one. In June 2024, we decided to stop in Grand Rapids on our way Up North — it was supposed to be a layover. We knew immediately. Within two months we'd moved the family from Atlanta.

Now I help other people figure out the same thing for themselves — whether they're relocating from another state or moving across town in Grand Rapids. I work with buyers and sellers to understand their rights and responsibilities through the process, and I find creative solutions to the hard stuff.

Buying or selling — here's what we'll do together.

Selling a home is part strategy, part choreography, part holding-your-hand-when-the-inspection-report-arrives. I handle every piece — so you can keep living your life while we get yours sold.

Planning + prep

Pricing strategy, timing, what to fix and what to leave. We walk your home together and make a plan that's grounded in this market — not last year's headlines.

Step 02

Listing execution

Professional photos, drone shots, walkthrough video, floor plans, MLS, social, signage. Every channel working in your favor — and every detail tuned before we go live.

Step 03

Showing + feedback

Real-time monitoring of who's coming through, what they're saying, and what the market's actually telling us. If something needs adjusting, we adjust — we don't wait and hope.

Step 04

Offer negotiation

This is where the RENE certification earns its keep. Price, terms, contingencies, repair credits, possession dates — I negotiate the whole envelope, not just the top-line number.

Step 05

Closing coordination

Inspection responses, appraisal navigation, title issues, lender check-ins, final walkthrough. I run point on every moving piece so nothing falls through the cracks.

Long-term resource

I don't disappear after the keys change hands. Need a contractor recommendation in three years? A market check before you list again? You have my number for as long as you want it.

I'm there for the inspection, I read every report, and I tell you what's a real problem versus what's a normal house being normal. No alarms, no hand-waving.

Appraisal + title

Low appraisal? Title hiccup? Easement nobody mentioned? These are negotiable problems, not deal-killers — when you have someone who knows how to work them.

Step 05

Closing + keys

Final walkthrough, lender coordination, title company alignment, the wire transfer that always feels terrifying. I'm at the closing table with you. You leave with keys.

After Close

Long-term resource

Contractor referrals, neighborhood intel, "is this remodel worth it" gut-checks, a market read when you're ready for the next chapter. Same number, same agent, for as long as you need.
